Marieta van der Merwe and the Harnas Wildlife Foundation and Guest Farm
recently launched the long-awaited information book, Expect the
Unexpected.
The book gives a short overview of the history, mission, goals, projects
and dreams of Harnas. Says Marieta, “Two very regular visitors to
Harnas, Michaela and Wicky Wirschke, gave us our first glimpse of a
possible book. They printed us a small booklet with their personal
experiences, memories and dreams about Harnas. It was so touching that
it made us realise that many people would love an account about Harnas
written from a wider perspective.” Over the past year several people
contributed towards the final draft of the book.
Nick and Marieta van der Merwe started the Harnas Wildlife Foundation
and Guest Farm 31 years ago.
